Valentine’s Day is not far away. This is a day that many of us feel alone, unloved. This year, if you find yourself without a true love to share this day, approach the day with love for yourself! Here we offer several things you can do to balance your Heart Chakra and reap the energyfrom it.

Heart Supporting Foods
While there are mounds of heart-shaped chocolate in the stores, this is not the support that your loving heart needs. Today is the day to begin a balanced diet of broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and cauliflower. They will bring a balance to your heart chakra with sulfur-containing compounds that will protect your body from toxins.

Get That Blood Pumping
It is a recommendation by American Heart Association that by practicing moderately intense exercise for thirty minutes each day will improve your cholesterol and fat levels. It will also reduce inflammation in your arteries, keep your blood vessels flexible and open, all while you lose weight.

Yoga Is Heart Felt
While the center your Heart Chakra is located in the center of your sternum, it essentially includes your entire upper torso. This includes your arms, chest, hands, upper back, and shoulders. Green And Pink Are The Heart Chakra Colors
We see the heart depicted in pinks and reds when it actually green and pink with green being the more neutral color that is visible. It contains the coolness of blue and the warmth of yellow. Green is associated with family, healing, and nature, and as such, it produces peace and tranquility when worn. Pink is the color of mother love, making it an essential color and associated with babies and children. It is a soft, soothing, sweet color that encourages compassion and raises the spirit.

Care for Yourself
If you’ haven’t been to the dentist or doctor, make this Valentine’s Day the day to go. The act of self-love is important to our well-being.

The Mantra of the Heart Chat
Each chakra has a chant associated with it that encapsulates the entire essence of its energy center. The sound for Heart is “yam” and chanting it will adjust the vibration of your heart, similar to what a tuning fork does to a piano.

Positive Affirmations
Repeat positive affirmations to yourself such as “I am lovable.” If this doesn’t feel natural, then you know your heart chakra is out of balance. We have to love ourselves before others can love us and repeating positive affirmations will help you see the beautiful things about yourself.

The heart chakra has a corresponding crystal, essential oil, as well as a musical note. Diamonds, peridot, and rose quartz are most healing to the Heart Chakra. Choral music in the key of F will resonate a perfect vibration that opens the heart. Surround yourself with scents of carnations, lilies, and roses.
