Whatever hits the runways in Los Angeles, Milan, or New York is what we expect to see in the stores. But then our beloved celebrities will be seen in something beautiful, charming, cute, or rad and we just have to have it.
Take the fashion that was styling on celebrities! The choker was just as present this past summer as it was in the 90s and even in the 60s and 70s. They added a zing to jeans and T-shirts, but also made the night-out-on-the-town outfit perfect.
Like Poppy Delevinge and the layers of black, gold, and anything in between when she hit the nightlife. And those low necklines that were all the rage, Miranda Kerr filled in the neckline space with a simple but thick choker. Taylor Swift kept it simple this summer while being a trendsetter with a D.I.Y. style choker made from a chain or ribbon. A gal on the street may want to go with a stretch weave, a hot style of the 90s.
Denim Did It Again In Dresses
Summer 2016 still saw denim too. This is an all year round material that looks good on anyone at any time. The question we have each season is ‘how can denim be made to look different and new?’ and summer of 2016 answered us. In a dress! From skintight tank style dress that Bella Hadid did well or a mini denim dress on Karlie Kloss. We saw tailored shirt-dress paired with sandals, tennis shoes, and even strappy high heels.
In denim and other fabrics, off-the-shoulder was all over the star scene this summer. They are an effortless look for those early morning studio appointment that moved right into evening dinners. Kourtney Kardashian, as always, did this look well when she paired her ripped jeans with a body-hugging top tucked in.
Dakota Fanning wore a ruffled off-the-shoulder dress with perfection when she paired it low-top sneakers and mirrored aviators. Getting a little dressier with her bare shoulders was Vanessa Hudgens as she paired it with strappy stilettos.
It Was A Bright Yellow Summer!
The color for summer 2016 was yellow! It was bright and it was understated too. For a night out, Gigi Hadid kept it simple in a pencil dress that hugged her figure. And Kirsten Dunst gave us a Grace Kelly look in shirt-dress of pale yellow, giving us a glance back to the 1950s.
Blake Lively would be the one to carry yellow from summer to fall with a velvet midi dress that tied at the waist. Her simple drop earrings, like our Hematite Pearl CZ drops and strappy sandals, gave her a perfect elegant style that could go from daytime to nighttime with ease.
And What Is Coming This Winter?
With the arrival of autumn, layering up in a chic new coat is what’s on our minds and we can expect to see celebrities covering up in parka style with fuzzy collars and hoods. Patent leather, puffy coats, all trimmed with artful furs. What will make this look so great are the many different versions that are budget-friendly on the market? You won’t have to break the bank to get the celebrity designer look.
From statement knits of sweaters to sock hop bobby socks, the 50s look is back baby! One piece jumpsuits with turtlenecks underneath for extra warmth. In fact, you’ll see more turtlenecks this year! They can be paired well with our Druzy Turquoise Natural Stone Women Necklace.
Patterns are going to be big this fall too. Kendall Jenner is a fan of Chanel and Marc Jacobs both. Whatever she wears from these two designers will be a hit in the stores. Short girls own the fashion world this year, starting with Anna Kendrick. She has found a way to draw the eyes to her tiny waist instead of her short height by adding a wide belt to a bold midi dress.
Regina Hall brings us bold-stripes in a power suit that will make you seem taller. Or go with a deep-V or a plunging neckline like that elongates your upper half like Emma Roberts has already started. High-waist pants will make legs appear lean and long quick and top with a bomber jackets is this fall’s sporty look.
